The 12 kilometers of coastline of Mijas (Mijas Costa) has beaches that appeal to all tastes. Of the 16 existing beaches, some of them with dark sand, 8 have a distinctive tourist quality. Whether they have an urban or semi-urban environment, or are surrounded by more natural landscapes, they are all easily accessible and offer wonderful opportunities for the enjoyment of the whole family.

Playa Calahonda Located opposite the urbanization with same name, it has different zones: from the most urbanized to the most virgin ones with abundant vegetation.
Playa del Bombo Swimming conditions are highly favourable, ideal for families. Also excellent for scuba diving due to the transparency of its waters.
Playa Butibamba - La Cala This urban beach. with an area of 1,300 meters long and 20 meters of average width, is one of the busiest. Moderate waves and black sand,
Playa de la Luna This is one of the quietest and least frequented beaches in Mijas. It's close to the Marbella port of Cabo Pino.
