Costa del Sol Travel Tips

CHOOSE YOUR DATES

Its excellent climate is one of the reasons that has made the Costa del Sol one of the main tourist destinations in Spain and Europe. It boasts more than 320 days of sun each year and an average temperature of 18 degrees. If you travel to the coastal area, you will not need warm clothes, even in winter. Nevertheless, if you want to travel inland within the province of Málaga and visit some of its mountain villages, the temperatures are lower in winter.

July and August are the most requested months, so if you can choose another time of the year, do it. June, September, even part of May and October, are good months even to bathe in the sea … To enjoy walks, cultural visits and wonderful landscapes Autumn and Winter (from November to March) are fantastic too. The  hub is the Málaga-María Zambrano Train Station in Málaga, which provides high-speed connections between the Costa del Sol and Madrid in two and a half hours, along with links to Barcelona, Seville and Valencia, amongst other cities.

By road. The road network connects with other cities throughout Andalusia and Spain as a whole, via motorways and toll roads.
